The Banyan Tree, Lahaina, Maui

Planted on April 24, 1873 in the courthouse square by sheriff William Owen Smith, the Banyan tree is one of the largest in the United Myna birds roost in the branches of the tree at sunset, causing a cacophony of bird cries as the evening approaches.
