Handmade Bushcraft Knife Restoration

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project! I found this rusty handmade bushcraft knife at a flea market. Most likely, this knife was made of high-carbon steel a long time ago. It’s not very rare that I come across such items. The shape of the knife is suitable for hiking and for working in the forest. Well, let’s start the restoration! 0:00 Review 0:18 Handle dismantling 1:05 Remove rust 1:57 Metalworking 2:20 Surface sanding 2:42 Etching of drawing 3:28 Handle 5:11Gluing handle 6:30 Handle processing 7:30 Leather sheath for knife 12:43 Last touches of sheath 13:02 Final review 13:36 Test My first duty was to dismantle the old knife handle. Next, the first layer of rust was removed with an iron brush. After it was placed in a rust remover, washed, dried and oiled... everything is as usual. I treated the surface of the knife with an iron wire brush and began adjusting the cutting edge. I made new bevels for the knife.
