A few years back, I was introduced to a new talent out of Japan, Yuto Horigome, by Micky Papa and the Blind Skateboards squad. After seeing him skate for just a single day, I knew this kid was going to be a superstar. He was the only skater doing the tricks he did, and doing them with ease. Soon after, we decided to film a “Recruit“ part, which had been designated for amateur skaters at the time. When we finished, I told my team there was NO WAY this is a “Recruit“—this dude is a PRO!
