You can make one of these needle holders out of any type of leather - we usually use scrap leather that isn’t big enough to sample other products with. The Needle & Pin cushion in this video is made from natural vegetable tanned leather with waxed poly threads and hand sewn. When making your own needle / pin cushion, you can do all sorts of fun designs with the needle holes on top. It’s also a great use for leather that may have brands or stamps you otherwise wouldn’t use on finished pieces. The measurements for this pin cushion are 4“ x 4“.
