I compare two tweeter mounting configurations. One is a regular flat baffle with chamfered edges, the other is a special tweeter pod that copies the roll-around treatment found on Jean Micheal La’Cleach horn mouths. My thinking is that if a JMLC horn has great off-axis performance, then maybe a regular tweeter could benefit from this arrangement. Historically speaking, mounting a tweeter on a circle baffle has been condemned based on many speaker design publications. However the assumptions are that edge diffraction will adversely effect the frequency response.
