Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024) - The High Republic’s Darkest Secret Revealed

The galaxy far, far away is about to get a lot darker. Star Wars: The Acolyte, a new series coming to Disney Plus in 2024, will take viewers into a world of “shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers” in the final days of the High Republic era, approximately 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). The series is created by Leslye Headland, who previously co-created and showran the critically acclaimed Netflix series Russian Doll. Headland is also a self-proclaimed Star Wars fan with many ideas for the franchise. The Acolyte will feature a diverse and talented cast, including Amandla Stenberg as a former padawan, Lee Jung-jae as a Jedi Master, Dafne Keen as a young Jedi, Jodie Turner-Smith as a mysterious character, Manny Jacinto as a charming rogue, and Carrie-Anne Moss as a Jedi.
