Liverpool, Merseyside. Title reads: “Britain’s biggest. Lady Salvidge, by moving lever a few inches, increases capacity of Liverpool’s mammoth power station to 100,000 kilowatts“. M/S of the interior of power station; lots of machines with cogs, wheels and levers. Lady Salvidge, with a party of dignitaries, inspects machines. She passes her bouquet to nearest man and bends down to lift a small lever on machine. A man in boiler suit enters and turns a large wheel vigorously, one of dignitaries in foreground starts three cheers. Various shots of pipes and boilers around station.
