Creepy Robot Wolves Scare Away Bears In Japan

A town in Japan is using creepy robot wolves to scare away wild bears. The terrifying ’Monster Wolf’ was designed by machine parts manufacturer Ohta Seiki to tackle the problem of bears raiding gardens to scavenge for food in the Autumn before hibernating. The robots have been installed in Hokkaido to ward off wolves and other wild animals by mimicking the aggressive behaviour of a wolf hunting in the night. Attached to a metal stand, it has a built-in infrared sensor that detects when an animal has drawn near. Once the sensors are triggered, it will begin to sound off menacing howls and flashing demonic red lights in its eyes to frighten the wild intruder. Its head violently swivels 360 degrees and will only stop when its sensors detect that the animal has retreated.
