Xhol Caravan - Pop games

Xhol Caravan’s ’Electrip’ album is a prime example of where music was heading in the late 60’s. This particular album opens up with the flush of a toilet (!), and then quickly blasts into some psychey jazz-rock. I own the lovely vinyl re-issue with the first five tracks only, and they jam really hard. The dominating sounds are sax and organ and, the spirit in which the music is delivered, sounds like a cross between early Hawkwind (relentless jamming) and the psychedelic jazz-rock of early Soft Machine.
