Vasily Petrenko conducts Stravinsky’s Symphony in C

In the first of three performances of works by Stravinsky, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s new Music Director Vasily Petrenko conducts his Symphony in C in the Royal Albert Hall. Filmed in spring 2021. Composed in both the Europe and United States, this symphony takes the classical styles of composers such as Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart and transforms them with Stravinsky’s own unique voice.
