Mastering NC’s most UNDERRATED Carbine -- Emerald Edition | AF-19 Mercenary Auraxium (Planetside 2)

I joined the bandwagon and have been playing a bit on Emerald lately. I started out playing pretty much only Light Assault and stuck with the default Carbine until I finished the Auraxium. How do you feel about the AF-19 Mercenary? I was pleasantly surprised and forgot how competitive the starter weapons are. I had no real griped with it throughout all of my time using it and liked it overall. What do you think I should use next (any weapon type, any class).
