“Ghosts of the Past - Episode 1“ - SFM

Music: Death of Åse - Edvard Grieg Performed by MUSOPEN Orchestra. Creative Commons Public Domain Mark 1.0 STOP FILING COPYRIGHT CLAIMS! As usually a new video means I’m trying out something new. This time I’m going for atmospheric approach. I know it’s probably a little boring and slow paced, but I wanted to make it this way - a very mysterious intro (or a pilot episode) to the upcoming series. Yes, it’s going to be a series of videos telling the story of Scout from OUTI2F and other characters. I’ll do my best not to fuck up everything I’ve built up in OUTI2F. I don’t want to follow in George Lucas’ footsteps. Besides with all the theories and speculations behind OUTI2F - the video and the story is no longer mine to screw up. It belongs to the viewer now, so I’ll do my best to respect this and hopefully won’t disappoint anyone. That’s why the message I’m going for this time is about moving on with your life, letting go of your past, difficulties a person might have with letting go and how it can affect one’s life. Talking from experience and new developments in my life I think I’ll be able to make great set of 4-5 videos, which I won’t rush and going to take my time with. Meaning it can be a couple of months between episodes. I found out that if you force yourself into making a video -- you’re gonna have a bad time. And the reason I decided to make it a series is because OUTI2F format (long videos) proved itself as being very stressful. Coming back to the video, yes I made it a little slow paced this time, and if you dislike this -- don’t worry. I’ll keep picking up the pace with every episode making it more dynamic. Besides, I don’t think there was any fun way of showing what winners of a round in TF2 do with bodies of the enemy team. In summary -- the cleaners go in, pick up survivors (Scout), and pick up all the dead bodies. Everyone who isn’t on their team is being loaded on a truck, taken to a distant location and burned. Maybe looted if they have any good items on them. And I tied it in with my “Corporate Secrets“ video, as I originally planned -- meaning there is, and always will be a continuity in my videos. If not then I’ll warn you in the description. The setting of this video was inspired by one of my favorite movies Fargo! I even intended to use music from Fargo but this whole mess with Youtube busting videos over copyright claims totally screwed me over. So I couldn’t progress with animating for a couple of months until I heard Edvard Grieg’s Death of Åse in a game “The Plan“ (check it out, it’s on Steam, it’s short, free, and very interesting). I also remembered that I heard this music in Sid Meier’s Civilization V before. In the end it turned out even better than with Fargo soundtrack. As for the idea behind Paranoid Pyro’s hat mystery -- it was inspired by The One Ring from The Lord of the Rings. I won’t say anything more about this so I don’t spoil anything from the future videos. Oh and as usually I hid a Saxxy and THE Frog somewhere in the video! That’s it for now, hope you enjoy the video! P.S. Some time ago, me and my friend designed and created textures for CS:GO weapon MAC10. But nobody actually ever saw it. If you can, would you kindly check it out and rate it? I’d be very grateful if you did! Thanks!
