Eagles of Death Metal & U2 in Paris

It may have occurred one day later than expected, but Eagles of Death Metal joined U2 on-stage in Paris this evening, marking their first live appearance since last month’s terror attacks ravaged the city (including EODM’s concert at the Bataclan, where 89 attendees were killed). According to reports, Eagles of Death Metal joined U2 for a cover of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power” (a song which Smith herself played with the band just one night prior). The members of U2 then stepped aside so that EODM could play their own song “I Love You All the Time” for the 20,000 strong in attendance. “They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, so we would like to offer them ours tonight,” Bono said in introducing Eagles of Death Metal.
