Restoration of The James Bond Watch - Polishing - Live And Let Die - Vintage Tissot - ASMR - 007

In this video I make a restoration of a James Bond 007 vintage watch which is a Tissot “pr516“ automatic watch from around 1970, cal 784-2. The watch was dead when I bought it. I found this watch in an online auction and the guy who owned it lived quite near me. I just pulled the trigger with a quite high bid (in my opinion) and luckily I won the watch. -During the disassembly I think the gear train was seized up because of old oil and dirt inside, that’s why the watch couldn’t run and was dead from the beginning. Everything else was in good condition. -The whole watch was disassembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner with Elma red solution. The pallet fork and balance is cleaned manually in naphtha. The mainspring was cleaned in the ultrasonic also, not included in the video. The mainspring was kept as it looked very fresh. -The casing was restored, polishing and brushing of surfaces. Also the back lid of the watch was restored. The acrylic glass of the watch was polished. -The stem of the watch was quite rusty so this was changed to a new stem. -The rotating bezel was changed to a vintage original one from 1970. After the restoration the watch runs around /- 5 seconds per day. In vertical positions it shows around /- 10 seconds per day. The amplitude shows around 300 degrees! This was Roger Moores personal watch which he had during the making of the James Bond movie Live and Let Die 1973. So this watch can be seen sometimes during the movie because he wore it backstage so I guess sometimes he didn’t change his watch to an Omega or a Rolex for an example.
