There are a lot of interesting facts that you probably didn’t know:
VENICE -major seaport, and capital of Venezia province and the region of Veneto. Is a city built on a group of 118 islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. Venice was the capital of the Republic of Venice for over a 1000 years, from 697 to 1797.
FLORENCE – (local name Firenze) is the capital of the Tuscany province. Florence is regarded as the birthplace of the Renaissance period of art and culture. Florence was hometown of famous The Medici family.
San Gimignano is one of well preserved medieval villages, with Gothic architecture aplenty. Around 72 tower-houses were built in San Gimignano during its glory.
MANAROLA is the second-smallest of Cinque Terre towns with a population of 353.
MANAROLA may be the oldest of the towns in the Cinque Terre, dating from 1338.
VERNAZZA (Cinque Terre) is one of the last traditional “fishing villages“ on north coast, with no car traffic.
ROME is capital of country and was capital of ancient Republic and Roman Empire.
La Fontana di Trevi is the most famous fountain in Rome, if not the world.
Colosseum is an oval amphitheater in the heart of Rome, and is the largest ancient amphitheater ever built.

TAORMINA is a hilltop town on the east coast of Sicily, near Etna volcano. Most famous attraction in Taormina is an ancient Greco-Roman theater still used today.
MATERA is situated in the region of Basilicata, just across the Puglian border. Matera is known for spectacular scenery and ancient caves carved out of limestone.
VOLTERAIO Castle is the oldest fortification on all the Island of Elba.
