1930 Fred Rich - I Got Rhythm (1930 Columbia version--Paul Small, vocal)
This Gershwin standard had been composed for the 1928 musical “Treasure Girl” (to be performed at a slower tempo), but it was Ethel Merman who made it famous in the 1930 production of “Girl Crazy.” Fast-forward to 1967 for a new top-5 charting arrangement by The Happenings:
