The story of the Uvalde police’s response to the school shooter last week keeps “evolving,“ and always in ways that reveal the inexplicable incompetence, confusion and cowardice officers up and down the chain of command demonstrated that day. So it should probably come as little surprise to find that the Uvalde police are currently suing to keep all records -- including body cam footage, 911 calls and text messages -- hidden from public scrutiny.
