An exploration into the use of new 3D digital performance capture technology. It started with a set of digital performance captures of band members Michael, Peter and Matt, created by Rob Ruffler and The Lightframe Co. Using Blender 3D, an open-source 3D graphics software toolset, Andy was able to place Michael and the band into an unlimited number of virtual performance spaces, and “shoot” video with virtual camera movements that would be nearly impossible using traditional video production techniques.
