Traffic and train chaos as Storm Henk lashes UK with flash flooding

Storm Henk has caused more travel chaos on roads and railways across the UK as flash floods have struck and high winds sparked delays. The latest of three storms over the festive period brought torrential rain and winds of almost 100mph to parts of the UK. As a result, there are two danger to life severe flood warnings in England and Wales, and a further 300 flood warnings where dangerous high waters are expected. Meanwhile, on roads and railways, flooding and high winds have sparked further travel chaos as this morning, around 10,000 homes remained without power. The UK’s rail network was hit by flooding and power cuts on Tuesday afternoon, with many operators reporting ongoing issues for the morning commute.
