Peter Lorre Scene from Crack-Up (1936)

Crack-Up is a 1936 film that stars Peter Lorre as “Colonel Gimpy“, who is really Baron Rudolf Maximilian Taggart, the head of a spy organization that wants to get its hands on the plans for a new airplane. In this scene, you see Lorre go from the smiling simpleton Gimpy (so named for his limp) eating cabbage with his bare hands to the ruthless baron who is willing to do anything it takes to defend his country and his organization--even if that means he has to kill for it.
