Patti states the poem was written on or shortly after April 15th, 1986, a day in which both French writer/poet/playwright Jean Genet and Hana Qaddafi (Libyan dictator’s Muammer Qaddafi’s 15-month-old granddaughter) died, Hana perishing in a US bombing raid.
