Beautifuly Smelling Medieval Manuscript

The wonderful smell of aging paper with coffee. I remember doing this for the first time as a young teenager and fearing for my life, for if the parents would see me wasting coffee like that, they would most definitely kill me or at least ground me for a long time. This is a simple recipe, old as the world itself or rather existing since someone invented paper, discovered coffee and spilt it on a piece of paper. I imagine a medieval monk reading a morning paper in his cell in a monastery and coughing the coffee all over the paper while exclaiming: ’-The Pope did WHAT?!’, which is higly unlikely to have ever happened but that’s what the imagination is for. I learned this paper aging technique from the Magic and Sword magazine, which I read from plank to plank as we say in polish (meaning reading something from cover to cover).
