Metallica Pop Up Store at Cremerie de Paris - M72 World Tour

Metallica Pop Up Store @ Cremerie de Paris #metallica #metallicaparis #cremeriedeparis #m72 At the occasion of the Metallica M72 World Tour Concerts given in Paris at the Stade de France, Cremerie de Paris had the honor to host a really cool Pop Up Store for Music Lovers. The video shows Metallica fans walking from the Stade de France to Cremerie de Paris, taking the RER B direct 12min train connection. Every day there was a major waiting line all along the main exit of Chatelet les Halles, Sortie 1 is called Marguerite de Navarre, or “Porte d’entrée du Coeur de Paris“, “Entrance gate to the heart of Paris“ Do you know who was Marguerite de Navarre (1492 - 1549) the godmother of this major subway exit ? Marguerite was a French Princess and a Renaissance writer. The grandmother of King Henri V (1594 - 1610), and the great-great grandmother of King Louis XIV (1638 - 1715) loved and protected the arts. Marguerite is also part of the long history of Cremerie de Paris as she already came by to our house in the 1540s to attend litterary meeting organized by the Villeroy family, first owners of VB. What do you think, would Margerite have liked Metallica Music ? It’s quite different from music played 500 years ago ... Well at least Marguerite would have been able to find many magical presents at the Metallica Pop Up Store and she would have been amused to meet all the wonderful people that came by. And Marguerite might say, that’s cool 500 years after my time magical things continue to happen at Cremerie de Paris and the Hotel de Villeroy Bourbon / Cremerie de Paris is connected to many legends and fairytales. It was the school of Marguerite’s great-great grandson King Louis XIV ? He was very artistic as well. Many times he walked through the door on the right side of the Metallica Pop Up you can see in the video. Our courtyard sometimes visible through the windows of Cremerie de Paris is still the same. If you would have come by “a little earlier“ you would have been able to meet him. Many other things happened at Cremerie de Paris. 1920 Coco Chanel fell in love with our Cremerie connected to the invention of N°5. 1938 - 1970 When Chanel could not sleep at night she walked around Cremerie de Paris, sometime accompagnied by her friend Aimée de Heeren. A N°5 sign forged into the railing of the staircase in our courtyard fascinated Chanel. The area, heart of the former Paris Les Halles foodmarket was in activity all night. We are to young to have met Chanel in person, but we had the chance to become Aimées new company for “nightwalks through Paris“ not realizing that our friend was much older we believed and that she was once the girlfriend of Joe Kennedy Jr. As a WW2 secret service she needed the help of future JFK’s older brother. Before leaving this world Chanel left a little jewel to her magical friend. 1993 Chanel’s little jewel made it possible to reopen Cremerie de Paris. It started as a Sony hotspot, soon turning into the very first Internet cafe that existed in France. This is explains how we were able to get , a two letter domain matching the history of the house. The assistent of Dr John Postel, inventor of internet domains was a client of our Internet Cafe. Postel loved Metallica Music and he would be enchanted that this fascinating brand is now entering the history of our old VB mansion in the center of Paris and in the history of France. more about Marguerite de Navarre ... more about the Metallica Pop Up Store more about the Pop Ups at Cremerie de Paris
