REMEMBERING THE TRINIDAD GOVERNMENT RAILWAY 50 YEARS AFTER

REMEMBERING THE TRINIDAD GOVERNMENT RAILWAY (1876 - 1968) 50 YEARS AFTER CLOSURE The last passenger train in Trinidad ran on 28th December 1968. This video is a historic summary of a much more significant account of the history of the Trinidad Government Railway (TGR). The story of a railway that once built much of the Trinidad and Tobago we know today. This video is dedicated to all those men and women who built, worked and died serving the railways of Trinidad. The soundtrack is courtesy of the Siparia Deltones Steel Orchestra’s “Cousoumeh“ album and I have their fill written authorisation to use their music. The home of the Siparia Deltones is on “D last stop“ of what would have been the Siparia Railway Terminus Station up until 1965. The band now occupies the old TGR Goods shed. Thanks to all of those who contributed to this short presentation. All contributions to this video are either credited under the presented material or in the final credits.
