Bodycam Shows San Diego Police Tasing Alleged Sex Assault Suspect

The San Diego Police Department in California released bodycam footage showing officers tasing an alleged sex assault suspect on July 7. When officers arrived on the scene for an alleged sexual assault call, the suspect allegedly took out a knife when officers approached him. A foot pursuit began when the suspect fled after being tased by the officers. During the pursuit, officers shot at and missed the suspect after he pulled out his phone, which was mistaken for a gun. Eventually, officers apprehended the suspect and took him into custody.
