UK defence spending will increase to 2 5% of GDP by 2030, Sunak pledges

Rishi Sunak has pledged to increase defence spending by 2.5% of GDP by 2023. The prime minister made the pledge to become the “biggest defence power in Europe“. He announced the measures in a joint press conference with Nato secretary general Jens Stoltenberg at a military base in Poland.
