Israeli settler land grabs have accelerated since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October

Two major decisions on international law relating to Gaza have been taken in the past week. The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan. And the International Court of Justice, the UN’s top court, issued additional provisional measures. They ordered Israel to guarantee the supply of humanitarian aid and open more land border crossings. Neither has happened. And it’s unclear what steps, if any, can now be taken by the international community to ensure compliance with the legally binding directives.
