Ukraine’s Assault Brigade attack Russian trenches at sunrise in close-quarters gun battle

Soldiers of Ukraine’s 3rd Assault Brigade launched a dawn raid near Bakhmut. Intense first-person footage shows them attacking Russian trenches at sunrise. Gunfire, artillery bursts, and grenades light up the darkness as troops charge forward. The Ukrainians make their way through Russian defences, clearing them out. Vicious close-quarters grenade and gun battles break out between the two sides. The battle is thought to have taken place in early September near the village of Andriivka. It is located to the south of Bakhmut, and has since been seized by the Ukrainians. Russia has been withdrawing some of its best troops from the area to reinforce elsewhere.
