Coronavirus outbreak: Dr. Bonnie Henry 1-on-1 on the challenges of dealing with a pandemic

Canada’s Public Health officials are the leading figures during this pandemic and B.C. provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has become one of the most beloved in the country. Dr. Henry speaks with Global National’s Dawna Friesen about her first impressions when the outbreak started in China and how preparing to deal with a pandemic was something unexpected. British Columbia was among the first provinces to enact social distancing and strict measures meant to limit the spread of the virus. Dr. Henry says that trying to do what’s needed to stop the virus while also worrying about the unintended consequences of those measures is a difficult balance.
