Hill Bowen was a British conductor and arranger who began his career in the early 1950s as a classical pianist. Many of his records were made for Reader’s Digest. Some of them were marketed anonymously under the name of the Singing Strings and occasionally The Romantic Strings, however, not all Romantic Strings recordings can be attributed to Hill-Bowen.
