Full titles read: “THE ROYAL TOUR“ King George VI (formerly Prince Albert) and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother) touring the north east of England. L/S’s of King and Queen visiting the Teen Valley Trading Estate and watch people being trained in new skills such as brick laying. Several shots of the thousands of people lining the street as the royal couple are driven past. In Sunderland the Queen inspects the girls of the Instruction centre, some are being taught how to cook and make dresses. Also, good footage of the King and Queen visiting visiting social service centre and Ministry of Labour’s Instruction centre. L/S and M/S of flat capped workers digging outdoors.
