Taken from the zine/album “Smalltime“, which I put out through Board of Fun in May 2013. Stream all the songs for free or buy the cassette and zine at: “Smalltime“ is the first of three albums that I’ll be releasing in some form or another this year. It was launched at the Clapton Zine and Print Fair at the Dentist on 4 and 5 May. “Something New“ was recorded by Ross Palmer at home and Dan Lea at Golden Hum. Dan did a bit of keyboard but Ross played all the rest; I did all the vocal parts and wrote the song. I’m going through a John Lennon/“Mind Games“ period. I love John. That might come through a bit in this song. The video was made over an evening by me and Zoë Taylor, using the video mode of an ancient digital camera and Magix.
