The Jubalaires – Preacher and the Bear [ Bassic Remix ]
More vintage 1940s gospel - with a twist. After remixing “Noah” I dove deeper into The Jubalaires. This is a remix of “The Preacher and the Bear“ performed by The Jubalaires in a Soundie from 1945. This time getting a little crazier with adding/changing almost boss’s nova style chords (Hello, Brazil! 🇧🇷) classic funk slap bass in the chorus :)

Recording and footage originally from the Prelinger Archives.
The Jubalaires in this video: L-R: John Jennings, Caleb Ginyard, George McFadden, Ted Brooks.
The Jubalaires were an American gospel group active during the 1940s and 1950s. The group initially went by the name the Royal Harmony Singers, as far back as 1936.
