Full title reads: “America. The Lipton Cup - the Outboard Racers’ Classic. 20,000 spectators see record broken as little boats positively leap around the course.“ United States of America. Group of small speedboats, powered by outboard motors, speed away from the start of the race. Long shot from banks of river as the boats speed off under a large bridge. A few spectators sit in the foreground. More shots of the boats going by. Spectators stand close to the camera. The boats turn tightly around a buoy in the river. Good shots of the boats skimming across the surface of the river as they turn. The commentator describes it as a dangerous sport ’and an easy way to break one’s neck.“ One of the racers overturns his boat at high speed.
