“Thanks For The Buggy Ride“ New Style (1933)

“What’s better than a new-fashioned buggy ride...“ L/S of a city street (probably United States of America). Amongst the cars is a buggy drawn by an ostrich. The ostrich buggy approaches and passes the camera. The ostrich doesn’t look too happy. Various shots of the ostrich buggy moving through crowded streets. M/S of the buggy at the side of the road. The driver puts a bag over the ostrich’s head. “Unfortunately Billie’s speed attracted the Police - “ M/S of the buggy travelling at speed. A policeman on a motorbike drives alongside and pulls the driver over. The bag is put on the ostrich’s head again and the policeman takes down the driver’s details. “-who says fine feathers don’t help fine birds.“ The driver gives the policeman some ostrich feathers. The policeman appears to take back the speeding ticket - bribery?! The driver plucks some more feathers out for the policeman. Was an item in Eve’s Film Review issue number 643.
