The song is also related to Lamartine’s poem “Le lac“, blending poetry, dance and lyrical vocals. This new track retains the band’s singular musical signature to navigate the listener through a multitude of emotions. ► Lyrics In spring of youth, it was my lot To haunt of the wide world a spot The which I could not love the less– So lovely was the loneliness Of a wild lake, with black rock bound, And the tall pines that towered around. But when the Night had thrown her pall Upon that spot, as upon all, And the mystic wind went by Murmuring in melody– Then–ah then I would awake To the terror of the lone lake. “Edgar Allan Poe - The Lake - To-” 1827. Oh star’s silver countenance may you be the humble witness of that night The only that relates on the lake Of our memories In vain I pray the hours to linger “Night : Be slower ! Why so suddenly ?“ While you’re crying out « you’re doomed » I laugh at my judgement Deafening Melody Smothering Refrain I screech on my own “Every grains of this stone, each mineral shine of this mountain full of night, by itself, formed your world.” Wounds hide on your spine, behold the end of your cowardice, (a) poor tremulous delight , Disgraced, Haunted ► “Remanence“ new album & merchandising, grab your copy now on :
