China’s Xi in Europe: What’s his agenda? | DW News

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in France, kicking off his first trip to the EU since 2019. Xi is due to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron today. Later in the week, the Chinese leader will continue on to Serbia and Hungary, two countries that are seen as closer to Beijing. EU leaders are divided over how to deal with China, amid its growing global influence and economic might.
