I remember hearing the lyrics, “You go down just like Holy Mary...“ on TikTok one day and going, “HELLO??? 👀“ The suggestiveness of the song paired with the Catholic allusions/imagery had me immediately hooked. I decided to dedicate this song to my OCs again, the same ones I featured in my cover of “Hellfire“ (Listen here: ). However this time, we get to see more of my demon OC’s human form. The idea for these OCs first sprouted when I first listened to annapantsu’s cover of “Hellfire“ during mid-lockdown in 2020. I ended up going down a rabbit hole of animatics, and then that drove me to make a playlist, and then I ended up on trying to give my OCs an appearance. Since I’m not the best at drawing, the picrews I made were the only pieces of art I had of my OCs for a long time. Two of my friends ended up making fanart of my OCs for my 19th birthday, which made me SO freaking happy. It wasn’t until I started working with mekarer on art for covers that I was able to have fully fledged depictions of my characters. I’m really excited to be sharing my OCs with y’all, and I’m especially glad I got to do it with this cover and “Hellfire.“ If y’all have any questions about my OCs, feel free to ask them in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer all of them!
