One of the CRAZIEST Bows I’ve ever built! Mollegabet Self Bow

This week we’re breaking out a little woodworking skill in one of the craziest bows I’ve ever built. The Mollegabet bow originated in Europe and features narrow limb tips supported by a deeper limb cross section. The deep narrow sections act as levers similar to the siyahs on Asiatic bows. It’s a very unique primitive bow design which allows you to do all sorts of interesting things with the static limb tips. For this self bow, I’m doing a little wood carving to create snakes on the belly side of the bow. I had no idea how the carvings would turn out but I was presently surprised. Overall this wooden bow shoots pretty well although the longer limbs to add a little more hand shock than I’m used to. I get a lot of requests for more detailed bow building videos vs the ASMR style I’ve been posting recently. Check out the link below for a more detailed version. I’m also giving this bow away over on my Patreon site (to a patreon member) so if you want more details, head over to the link below to check it out. Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. We’re uploading a new video each week that features one of the following topics: archery, bow hunting, bow building, survival skills, bushcraft, self reliance, primitive skills, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing, and a lot more!
