UNESCO joins Minecraft Global Build Challenge: Peace with Nature

UNESCO is joining Minecraft Education Edition on the ‘Global Build Challenge 2021: Making Peace with Nature’ (), as part of its programme to engage students worldwide to address the urgent environmental crisis through education for sustainable development (). K-12 students around the world are invited to design sustainable ways of living in harmony with nature, build in a custom Minecraft world as an individual or team of up to four students, then create a video of the solution. Educator resources are available in 29 languages, including a lesson plan to integrate the challenge program into the curriculum. Submissions are due by 19 November 2021. Learn how to participate:
