6 key changes in the *new* 2022-24 gymnastics Code of Points (CoP)

I haven’t done an update video in a while, but this one seems important! The FIG recently released a copy of the 2022-24 Code of Points (CoP) for women’s artistic gymnastics. This very long document outlines every skill, how execution scores can be calculated, guides on finding difficulty scores, and lists of deductions. If someone really wanted to learn how to judge gymnastics from the ground up, and only had one resource, the Code would be a way to learn everything about the sport. Essentially, every four years, our sport changes, and it’s making some significant changes now! There are a few notable changes that I did not include, some of which include: - Tkatchev skills are restricted to one per circle type, meaning that gymnasts can’t include multiple similar Tkatchevs in one routine.
