During the Russian Revolution there were more revolutionairy parties, such as the Mensheviks, the Kadets and the Socialist-Revolutionaries (SRs). They all played a role in the State Duma, the Provisional Government, the Petrograd Soviet and the February Revolution and October Revolution of 1917. And later in the Russia Civil War. After the Bolshevik Coup many fled the country. Others picked up arms against the Bolsheviks. An early example was the Left SR uprising in 1918.
