Damon (+ Elena) - Thank You For That

Basically I’m explaining here why Damon hates himself so much, why he considers himself selfish, what darkness it is that’s he’s talking about. In the past he had a really traumatic event that changed him. It’s been 70 years but this past is still haunting him, he can’t forgive himself for what he’s done. Elena on the other hand is the only person who sees through him, and she’s always been. From the start when she said that he’s hurt instead of
