Labor leader Anthony Albanese says the Nationals are holding their Coalition partner to “ransom”, as leader Barnaby Joyce warned on Monday morning against being “backed into a corner”. There are a diverse number of views within the party room of 21 MPs and Senators – with some warming to the idea, and others still firmly against it - holding concerns about what the transition will do for regional jobs and emissions-intensive industries like mining and agriculture.
