Dating and Mating in the World of Jaguars | Love Nature

The largest cat in South America, the jaguar reigns supreme in the Pantanal. Though dominant, nothing comes easy, and that includes mating. Jaguars live a solitary existence, and when the males approach the females to mate, they must prove themselves worthy. After some initial aggression between the two, they bond over the course of a few days. Once their moment in the sun has come and gone, they go their separate ways, and the female will give birth to their cubs on her own.
