What’s up friends, I wanted to share my dinner with you and show you how I make my Loco Moco, very famous Hawaiian dish. I used about 6 pounds of chuck roast beef instead of burger patties.
First I sir fried the beef. In my cast iron pot I added one large onion minced, unsalted butter, and about 5 cloves of garlic pressed. I cooked until it was golden brown, then added about 1 tsp of salt, black pepper, thyme, and then about 3-4 cups of red wine along with 1 1/2 cup of beef stock, and about 2 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce. Then let it boil for about 5 minutes before adding the 1/2 cup of four to the sauce to make it thicker. Once the sauce was ready, I added the beef and simmered it for 1 hour.
I cooked the rice with chicken broth, you may add some water to it to make the taste lighter.
At the end if you like light cooked sunny side up egg it is perfect combination with Loco Moco, try it and let me know if you make it!
