It is fascinating to see how the locals adapt to such daily disruptions. Some foreigners may feel strongly that life sucks there; well, it may or may not be for the people living there. Sometimes the people who live a simple life may well be the happier ones. It is not up to me to judge or criticise the people or the places that have given me fond memories of my mere 7-day trip to Hanoi. Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.
