How To Find Opals!

Shop Opal Excavations here: The rains fall once again! This week we are back fossicking the white cliffs opal field, making the most of the wet and muddy conditions. Generally it’s hard to mine when the rains come so getting in a good fossick helps keep us occupied and making some income! As a bonus sometimes we also pick up some really awesome bits! The field hasn’t been this muddy in a while and while it’s good fun there isn’t a car wash in town! We managed to find ourselves a lot of small chips of opal and a handful of cuttable material. Some we set aside the solid stuff as the majority was doublet material. I did end up cutting all of that and it came up really nice! Here hoping we can get back underground soon and find more opals!
