The 2024 Paris Olympics are now officially underway after the French capital was turned into an open-air theatre for last night’s opening ceremony. Some 7,000 athletes took part in a floating parade along the River Seine - part of a show that had everything from the can-can to Celine Dion and Lady Gaga.
