“Hallelujah I Love Her So“ - Marsh Family cover of Ray Charles song for Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson

This song was created to mark the birthday on 17 October of Alyssa Sangeeta Jacobson, an incredibly special person lost to the world too young, but whose legacy of love, light, laughter and kindness lives on in many forms. We never had the chance to meet her, but celebrating her memory makes us think of so many other beautiful people who shared their life journeys with us and whose presence we still feel in our hearts, lifting us up. Sending love to her family and those supported by the amazing foundation in her name. We tried to plough all that energy into this adaptation of Ray Charles’s classic rhythm and blues track, “Hallelujah I Love Her So” released in 1956 which has long been a family favourite because of its joyful spirit. We had to switch in clarinet and violin for the original sax solo, and included a few more voices – including a first outing for Tess’s legendary high harmonic at the end! We changed one word to help open the lyrics up for all. We’ve got some studio time booked next week and – as our Patreons know – are working on a Christmas project and some new original songs, but we might be able to fit one more parody in next month. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime hope this makes you smile and makes you think of those souls who have made your world a happier place. ___________________________ Support us here: - PayPal to leave us a tip jar: - Patreon for ongoing support & bonuses: Our latest single, ’COOL KID’ was out on 16th August 👉Song purchase/share: 👉Spotify follow: 👉Physical EP “Bubbles“ available here: Find our other channels here: Follow us here: - - - - - @marshfamilysongs - @marshfamilysongs - ___________________________
